Dear Husky Friends,

I rescued a 10 month old copper husky a few months ago, apparently she was abandoned by her owner whom has to 'move'.. I am not sure why she was not brought along, the pet shop owner which supposedly is helping her find a new home was not very forthcoming with the info..

Anyway, we rescued Ginger, she's copper coloured with beautiful blue eyes. She's a sweetheart, unfortunately, she is unable to get along with our dog Snowy. They tend to play/fight but Ginger is a bit vigorous and recently Snowy was accidentally hurt by her..

We would love to keep Ginger but she definitely does not belong to a 2 female-dogs' home.. We would love to re-home her to a loving family. Also to someone who understands the psychology of Alpha Dog as Ginger is strong willed. Also, he/she needs to know about Huskies as a breed (this is to circumvent newbies who may abandon them later, when they find out that the breed needs a lot of work)

Ginger has a bit of puppy Demodex problem, she is on a regime of supplements (not ivermectin as that does havoc to her internal system).. She is recovering well.. Her demodex is only around her mouth.. She needs to be bathe in Malaseb at least 2x a week and is on Blackwood Lamb and Rice.

We recently neutered her 2 weeks ago, her new owners will need to take her for all the jabs again as we do not know if the previous owners kept her jabs up to date.

She's wonderfully loving and a great personality but does not react too well with another dog (especially female), she is not aggressive but she is dominant. So someone who wants to be a single dog family or someone with a male dog will probably work out well with Ginger. We want to make sure that the next family that adopts her can promise us to give her a loving home, preferably let her be a companion to the family. We will not release her to families/individuals that believes in locking her up in a cage or permanently chain her up..

Pls PM me if you know any loving adopters whom are interested and knows about husky. Scot and I need to be sure that the family is right as we do not want Ginger to be traumatized from being abandoned again...

Hi Vinci, I really hope so.....:).. We just wish she is more gentle with Snowy, poor Snowy has been to the vet periodically ever since she arrived.. (sigh). We love Ginger, she if very very affectionate to us, but not at all to Snowy.. :(
